TIME TO GET OUR BOYS HOME
Although Nationalists are in the forefront in demanding "Get Out of
Afghanistan," the Obama Administration will, also, be under intense
pressure from the Communist element, within its own ranks, to get
out. What's more, the surprising upshot is expected to be many
hard-core leftists, in frustration, bolting over to the Nationalist
side, ratcheting up political instability and extending the backlash.
Jason Andrews, a Nationalist Internet-petition signer, writes that
"this war is disorganized and needless. Get our boys home!" However,
Eric Margolis, a far-left commentator, also is demanding withdrawal,
stating that the occupation "is not peacekeeping, because there is no
peace to keep. They are there to help impose U.S. rule over
Afghanistan."
Hawaii-Congressman Neil Abercrombie wants out of Afghanistan
immediately, calling operations there "futile." The Israeli-Lobby,
convinced that the Iraq-segment is lost, has tried to refocus on
Afghanistan, with California-Senator Barbara Boxer demanding
"complete the mission."
However, California-Congresswoman Diane Watson says that it is time
to pull out, altogether. Gloria LaRiva, presidential-candidate of the
Marxist Party for Socialism and Liberation, calls the invasion the
"U.S. war of aggression on Iraq and Afghanistan" and demands to
"get out."
